Welcome to Still Waves~
So that its waves are still.
While I'm not sure if this blog will turn out to be random thoughts, "a day-in-the-life", or perhaps a place for others to find encouragement, I do hope it will be a place of "Still Waves" for those who stop by for a visit.
Sometimes He Calms the Storm
All who sail the sea of faith
Find out before too long
How quickly blue skies can grow dark
And gentle winds grow strong
Suddenly fear is like white water
Pounding on the soul
Still we sail on knowing
That our Lord is in control
Sometimes He calms the storm
With a whispered peace be still
He can settle any sea
But it doesn't mean He will
Sometimes He holds us close
And lets the wind and waves go wild
Sometimes He calms the storm
And other times He calms His child
He has a reason for each trial
That we pass through in life
And though we're shaken
We cannot be pulled apart from Christ
No matter how the driving rain beats down
On those who hold to faith
A heart of trust will always
Be a quiet peaceful place
All who sail the sea of faith
Find out before too long
How quickly blue skies can grow dark
And gentle winds grow strong
Suddenly fear is like white water
Pounding on the soul
Still we sail on knowing
That our Lord is in control
Sometimes He calms the storm
With a whispered peace be still
He can settle any sea
But it doesn't mean He will
Sometimes He holds us close
And lets the wind and waves go wild
Sometimes He calms the storm
And other times He calms His child
He has a reason for each trial
That we pass through in life
And though we're shaken
We cannot be pulled apart from Christ
No matter how the driving rain beats down
On those who hold to faith
A heart of trust will always
Be a quiet peaceful place

Kari! I'm so excited you took the plunge! And I LOVE the name and the look of your blog.
So I take it this is more of a personal blog and not a homeschooling forum blog? I'll bet that once you get going on this one, you'll be itching to start the other.
Can't wait to read what the Lord's been speaking to you. :)

Kari, I didn't know you were from San Diego! I'm a beach girl at heart too. ;)
The name of your blog is beautiful, and I love the picture you chose for your banner. I thought of you tonight when Pastor Dave taught on Psalm 23.
"He leads me beside the still waters." Psalm 23:2b
Love ya.
